A Long WAit

Shadow's End (A Novel of the Elder Races) - Thea Harrison

Beebs' Review

So hard to write a review for this book without spoilers but I'll do my best. The first half of this book is set 200 years ago when events occurred that led to Graydon and Bel's current predicament.

Fast forward to the present and Graydon has had enough of living with the threat of Malphas and has reason to believe that if he doesn't act now, Bel will never get out from under Malphas' thumb. He enlists the help of several friends to put an end to Malphas forever but it's a dangerous undertaking and could be disastrous for everyone if they don't succeed.

I loved Graydon, his relationship with Dragos, Pia and Liam is really sweet, I love that he's considered plain as this let his character shine through. I also enjoyed seeing the relationship between him and Bel develop, and Bel's conflict with Dragos. The consequences of their conflict with Malphas is going to have major repercussions in coming books but I didn't enjoy this book as much as previous books in the series.
